How you see this character: She's sickly sweet until she snaps, and it doesn't take much to make her snap. She just wants it all her way, admittedly difficult in the world she's in, but still, the fire in her belly won't die down because everyone just keeps on adding fuel to the flame. She's over it being her fault all the time - people have to take responsibility when they are being a bitch; who better to school them than the queen bee herself? Alone, she closes her eyes and she sees her name in lights. There's a dream of breaking away from the cycle she's stuck in; she'd do it whatever way she could, legal or not. It's all thought out in her head: a backstreet deal with a peacekeeper so that she could sneak into the Capitol under the protection of a white suit. It isn't just what she wants, silly, it's what she deserves, because after all, the devil works hard, and Poppy Rohan is the devil.
Headcanons: At aged fourteen, she managed to give an item of clothing to the mayor. She was satisfied with that then, but obviously now she wants more. At school, the girl was a bully. She'd pick on people who had siblings die in the Hunger Games because that's just, huh - sad, I guess. She's had three boyfriends and they've all been at least twice her age! Never satisfied, she's the type of girl to have one night stands only to steal from her man's wallet in the morning before leaving. It's a reminder to them that the world is so very harsh, and more often than not, you lose. But, it's a reminder to her that she's the winner she's always known she is.

Desired Character: Amrin Delphine
How you see this character: She is ice to most people. Glass that you can see through because she doesnt even try to interact with them. She doesnt need too. She has a family that she needs to take care of. She is bright beyond her years, but she got that drive to learn from her mother. However, she isnt around much more because she needed to escape the life that she thought was no longer satisfying her. Her father worked tirelessly to put food on the table, and because her mother would only stop in a couple times a year since she was twelve, she had to grow up fast. After all, it was for her younger siblings. At first she got a job as a tutor, but she realized that she felt like she was stuck.

She feels like she cant breathe most days, which is fitting because she wasnt used to spending a whole lot of time outside with the rest of the world. Instead, she would bury her head in books because that would always be easier for her. Less drama, more time for her to spend muted from a reality that she simply did not care for. She held herself to a standard above the rest that she never will live up too because she even she doesnt think she is capable of living a life with meaning. Shes too busy, worrying about their next meal. Shes in tune with her emotions, but not enough to cause her to be an emotional person. She thinks about others in terms of taking care of them, and nothing more than that.


Headcanons: a girl whose tongue is made of fake silver, Armin can go toe to toe with anyone that she deems eloquent enough. She is probably only close with a handful of people in her life, because she does nothing more than hide in her own distortian. She wished she wasnt likr this but she finds a way to cope with it. She wished the same could be said for others, as most people look at her like she has her head in the sky and nowhere else. She doesnt think shes unapproachable, but everyone else does.

Id like to see a plot where someone challanges Armin in a good way. Armin is cold, calm, and collected, so a good foil would be someone spontaneous, charasmatic, and sporadic. Someone that can kind of throw everything out the window in a moments notice no matter how close they were to being finished with the task. Armin would take a while to warm up to this, but that is where the fun would be for her. Thinking about how much good could come from opening herself up to someone who actually wants to know her would be a positive experience to her. Until then, shell fly solo till the day she dies.

How you see this character: His momma and daddy raised him to put family at the unconditional peak of his priorities, to the death, one might say. It’s been etched into history that the one thing that is undeniable is a familial love to the grave, something Beryl takes very seriously. His father is a preacher of sorts, telling all who listen that those who give to him will someday receive something great in return while in reality, it ends up in the pockets of him, his wife, and three kids to spend it on whatever the hell they wanted. He knew since he was a boy that scams like these could get his family torn apart if they were found out, so Beryl kept his mouth shut. After all, everything he is was a result of a family locked in arms, united to the end.

By day, he stands in solidarity with his brother and sister and momma and daddy, but by night, he screams to soundproof walls that his family is corrupt and deserves nothing of what they have. He fears to step outside and risk shattering the fragile crystal he holds everyday: a family with their secrets buried six feet under and a guilty conscience that will, one day, break through and reach the ears of many who gave but will never receive.

How you see this character: Here's the thing, Fiora never fully believed in her family's psychic house herself, she always thought that it was just telling people what they want to hear. Con artists who were able to swindle money out of poor gullible saps desperate for guidance to questions that could never be answered. This is where she learned how to be one herself, always taking on a new persona to get whatever she needed from the person in front of her. Because of this she never had any close relationships growing up, she would always be someone different based on the person she was with; she was fierce and took charge with her classmates, quiet and demure around figures of authority, sly and alluring with love interests. However, she can't deny that are certain events that have happened that are more than just circumstance. Dreams becoming reality, the disconnected whisper in her ear whisper in an empty room, the stares from people who aren't there, these aren't just smoke and mirrors. Fiora was never "gifted" when she was younger, to which her mom just said that she was a ”late bloomer”. She is becoming unsure of herself, and her faith in her disbelief is shaken, could all of this actually be real?

How you see this character:
A soft boy in a hard world.

He knows it's wrong — being so ashamed of his family — but he likes to think that he fell far from the tree. It doesn't matter that he shares their honeyed words and dimpled grins, those bright eyes and that warm laugh; he never uses those things to his advantage. At least, not to his knowledge. Perhaps he doesn't swindle and cheat, but doesn't he take? Doesn't the world lay itself at his feet?

Privilege is not so easily shed, it seems. And the Fillis clan — for all their deceit and dark intentions — are sun-kissed. The public are unable to see past their finely crafted facade, but Beryl can. Just because he fed himself and clothed himself and survived off the money his family stole doesn't mean he agrees with their tactics. One day, he'll call them out for it. He'll be the good kid everyone thinks he is.

Not until he can trade the silver spoon in his mouth for a cleaner, shinier one.

DESIRED CHARACTER: Adam Taupe.  

HOW YOU SEE THIS CHARACTER:

The fall from grace bruised him all shades of lilac: periwinkle across the knees, mauve on the elbows, and amethyst on the heart. It was agonizing — to see the wealth his family had cultivated be devoured by one ravenous inferno, and to know that his parents made it out in mere ashes. He remembered the flames, dancing across his bedroom's window before erupting it to a shower of stained glass and scorched wood. 

Now, all that remains are the blackened ruins, all that remains is a handful of coins that he used to secure a shoe box apartment, and all that remains is a boy who had to make his and his sister's ends meet. The fire did not make a coward or a corpse out of Adam Taupe. In a way, it burnt him anew to someone he'd yet to discover, and ate the robes of hollow grandeur which were weighting him down. 

The darkness welcomed him like a second child — giving sweet, saccharine treats that made him feel as if he could regain everything that he once lost. The darkness asked and demanded from him and as Adam Taupe's scorched ego could refuse no longer, he obliged.

In return, the darkness made him believe that his unfortunate fall from grace was instead a leap of faith. With something other than his blood coursing through his veins, he shall hold the world in his opened, scarred palm again. 

HEADCANONS:

Gosh. First of all, can we talk about how broken he is? Adam doesn't know the hard feelings he's carrying on his shoulders until a certain day comes along when he'll break down to a sobbing, hysterical mess. The boy lost everything, and he fears that the weight of it all will not rise from where it sits, herculean, on his chest. 

The fire. People in most cases would get terrified of something that caused them harm, like those who'd almost drowned fearing the sea, like those who'd fallen getting scared of dizzy heights, but Adam picked up a twisted attraction with fire from the accident. The lighter he keeps in his breast pocket him bestows the power that Adam once trembled at. But, he's braver now. He will not let the fire conquer him anymore. He feels safe with it so he carries the lighter wherever he goes.

Even though he's slowly getting acquainted with his own dark moon and the world around him's, the one illuminating thing he has left in his possession is his sister. The Taupes look after another, even more so when no one else will. She is the only reason Adam has not leapt into the abyss yet, merely tiptoeing along the sharp edge.

HOW DO YOU SEE THIS CHARACTER:
Her heart is made of opals, and her story begins before she is born, with a mother and her needlework in the cold of night, with a begging for something more--a daughter who would trail after her the way her first trailed after her father, a plaything that she could teach all her ways to.

If only. 

She was born into a life of wealth and privilege, a world at her fingertips and unrealistic dreams at the ready. Born to a father who found wealth in the bottom of the earth, extracting oil from its core and calling it his own to sell and a mother whose father had done the very same, no one expects a girl who knows how to dream.

After all--when the world has given you everything, what else left is there to want?
But want she did.

It was like the pair of sisters was born to match each other, to create someone whole and healthy and balanced. Where one had her feet solidly on the ground, her very bones tethered to the Earth around them, Whitney had her head in the clouds, with her eyes turned towards the sun and stars. She dreamed different lives for herself, started putting charcoal to paper when she was only a child, sketching out futures for herself and her sister the moment her imagination came to life.

Like a wild rose, tender pink and soft, her beauty begs to be loved.
Like blood in a wound, begging to be touched.

She sees the world in striking technicolor, in blacks and whites and no room for the moral grey, lives her life as wildly and passionately as she does recklessly, dancing from passion to passion like a bee goes from flower to flower, taking what it needs and leaving its mark across the world. She’s got opals for eyes, blinded by the life of pale privilege that will ruin her if she doesn’t learn how to live outside of it.

HEADCANONS:
    • What keeps a kind girl alive in the wild? I see her as someone who has been allowed such passions because her sister tempered herself, kept her head in books and numbers and vowed that she would protect her baby sister no matter the personal cost. I think part of this has made Whitney something of a spoiled child, allowed to indulge in whatever whim she cared for the week, or even just that day. In a lot of ways, it has made her irrevocably kind, has made her constantly happy and wanting to constantly make other just as happy as she is. She is filled to the brims with passions, and has spent her entire life being able to indulge them--it's one of her greatest loves in life to see others be able to do the same. 

    • My mother uprooted me from the bottom of her gut. I think she’s got a little bit of a complex, a little bit of a need for some kind of attention. She’s always been the original one, the daughter that didn’t follow in her parents footsteps exactly the way that they imagined she would, that she should. I think since finding out that her sister is sick, her parents have turned a lot of their attentions onto her, and at first it was probably nice to have a little bit more freedom, a little bit more independence, but a part of her can’t help but be grateful that she’s going to be surrounded by a whole new crowd of people to fall in love with, people who can love her in return. That being said, this is the first time she's really going to spend any extended time away from her sister, and it's coming not particularly long after she has started her treatments, and that gives Whitney undeniable anxiety. I am curious to see exactly how these two traits of hers will intersect, her passion and love for other people and her undeniable selfishness, her need to indulge in her pleasures. How much will she miss her sister? How will it affect her relationship with the other people in the group? Will it make her more tense, to be without the girl who has been her counter since she was born, the only person on this earth who balances her out? What if she finds a replacement for her sister, someone who makes her feel the same way? Will it help her cope with her sisters illness or will it ruin her, send her spiraling?

Raised a spoiled, little thing, she is taught to have high expectations and even higher goals, to never settle for anything but the best, just like she is. To her parents, though, such a wisp of flame—with a knack for tantrums and crocodile tears—is a blessing, having tried for so many years before to conceive. And so they dote on her, give her anything she asks for, offer up willingly everything she demands, but satisfaction never comes, does it? No. Never for a greedy thing like she.

She is a woman looking for purpose, abrasive and cruel, like a creature weaned on poison, taught to consider anything soft as a weakness. Her beauty, molded into a weapon to wield, proficiency earned through years of cutting down people at the knees with but a glance, but a quirk of her lips, but a twitch of her brow. Headcanons: 
She's an aries, the first sign in the zodiac. Known for marking the start of something great, a breath of fresh air, Poppy entered the world the very same way. The first beat of her heart was as loud as a clap of thunder, her first breath as fierce as the strike of lightning before it. There’s a fire inside her, pushing her to do the very best at everything. She must be first and never last, always right and never wrong. She is a take action kind of person, but the reason this is to her benefit is because she’s smart. She thinks and acts, and she does so with an unmatched passion. But with a certain zealous attitude comes impatience, immaturity at times of stress. She can be cruel, that’s never been the question, but she’s also so stubborn. She has a short fuse and a tendency to annihilate anyone in her path—by any means necessary—to complete a goal. She has no problem leaving a body count, quite vicious if provoked too much; it’s a weakness, to say the least, but she knows it to only be a strength.

Fashion became a passion of hers at a very early age, having grown up rather wealthy and afforded finer clothes, but never in the proper sizes, never fitting her unique frame quite right. So she did the only thing she could think of, make them herself. It started out small, buying up any material she thought looked beautiful, only to spend hours cutting it up and manipulating it into something that made her look flawless. And her confidence comes from the eyes that stare at her enviously as she wears one of her latest creations; wishing they could be her, willing her to look in their direction, but she never does.

Poppy has a very carefully constructed facade she portrays to the outside world, one where she is an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. A true powerhouse when it comes to fashion, undoubtedly, as well as the popularity that comes along with it, and attitude, of course. She’d be lying if she said it had nothing to do with those she surrounds herself with, people she deems worthy of her time and those expected to make her shine, to keep the appearance alive. She has no problem with niceties and can fake them on cue, but that’s not to say Poppy shies away from being brutally honest, mowing down anyone less outspoken or assertive—weak—than she.

More bold than most, she believes she’s always the best person for any job or role put in front of her. But with such hubris comes arrogance. She’s been known to toot her own horn even when she’s proven wrong. Poppy is fiercely headstrong, but if everyone around her wasn’t so incompetent then maybe she wouldn’t always turn out to be right. Most see this as her being cold and heartless, and maybe that’s true—she’s never been that in tune with her own emotions, unless she’s feeling anger—but she still gets shit done. And if she’s being honest, she couldn’t care less if someone deems her a bitch. They’re just jealous.

— I want to see her succeed as much as she does, maybe even more so, but I'm also a real glutton for punishment, so please, let her get knocked down a peg or two, if for no other reason than to remind her she's human. That perfection may be something to work toward, but it corrupts.

- charismatic devil, inferiority complex. fear tactics, constant runner up, he talks in hard facts and doesn't quuuuite lie, just omits the truth. probably'd catch onto fiona being a fortune telling liar, really step on her shoelaces and i'd be down to do a blackmail plot there? up to jorg! either way he'd probably break face and try and throw his superiority complex on all that funny psychic business

- along those lines, him & poppy rohan's "win-or-guillotine" attitude could be some fun tension wink wonk, friendly rivals, rivals, enemies, frenemies, friends with benefits? - going off that, Goulding has always been a mess of a wannabe street rat. adopted into a middle class family as the third child of six, he always caught attention in his own ways. being the cutest, charismatic, most charming, and it spiraled forward. getting caught up in jealousy and bad systems, Blaine settled from wrestling to party boy to street fight rings for cash,
