Okay, folx. The new event is here. And here is the thing:
It is the last one. This is the final stand. This is the make it or break it moment. This is the time where you either live to see life outside of this mansion, or your soul is trapped within its walls forever.
Now, as this is the last event, I wouldn't feel right going on without thanking those of you who have participated and made Clue what it is. I have thoroughly enjoyed the last year, and it's crazy to believe that we are finally nearing the end, right? I love each and every one of you, and hope that we can finish this as gracefully as we started it.
Okay, okay, now for the moment you've all been waiting for!
So, you may have noticed the graphics I posted a few days ago? They each have a title: Angel, Hero, Martyr, and Executioner. I've seen some of you make guesses as to what this could possibly be, if it was referencing dead characters, or if it was a clue as to the killer's true identity. Well, I am here to tell you that it was neither of those things.
Each card represents a special perk that will be given to the character it is randomized to. Yes, there are only 4 cards, and 7 survivors. Which means 3 will not get a special perk. That is okay. Not having a card could be better than having a card, and you'll see what I mean once I post their descriptions below.
Each character will play an integral part of seeing this out to the end in their own way. Each character will have their own journey.hero: ( will be rolled first, between the three guests who posted the most before the events started. ) the hero character can not die, unless the writer would like to plan something differently. if the hero is rolled as a randomized death, the murder will be re-rolled. in character, this person will save the day by finding a way out for those still alive.
executioner: ( will be rolled second, between the two guests who were not selected to play the hero. ) the executioner may make one accusation in-character about who the killer is. if they are right about who the killer is, they will kill the killer and save everyone who is left, effectively ending the game. if they are wrong, they will kill an innocent and the game will carry on and their power will be void from further use. the death will count towards the total death requirement.
angel: ( will be rolled third, between everyone left. ) the angel may save the life of one person (not themselves) who has been rolled for death if they manage to find the proper materials which will be hidden in predetermined places within a certain amount of time (posts).
martyr*: ( the martyr will be rolled fourth, between everyone left.) the martyr must die. this may be as a sacrifice in-character, or as something similar to Poppy where they are unable to convince the others of their innocence. the martyr may not be saved by the angel.
*if the killer is chosen as the martyr, they will fake their death.how will it work?
Survivors will each start off alone. This means: each character will be in a room unique to them. They may find other survivors along the way via in-character posts. No one groups of more than three are allowed.
The goal now is to get out. The martyr will, of course, die, and then all other card abilities will be activated and may be used at any point from here onward.
Think of each death as a stage. You start with 7, but only 6 may advance. Once you've cleared that stage, you start with 6, but only 5 may advance, and then again, you start with 5 and only 4 may advance. (Unless, of course, the executioner kills the killer beforehand.)
Out of character, there is no mechanic. In-character, it's all about finding a way out before you die.
keep in mind when writing: the lights are off for good now, meaning no more flickering, no more moments of clarity. it is very, very dark, and most will only be able to see a few feet in proximity to themselves.
also, here is a lil update about where everyone will be and what is going on:
Harvey: will start off in the bar having a drink
Indigo: will start off in the den waiting on Violet to return with ice
Violet: will start off in the kitchen getting ice for Indi
Fiora: will start off in the dining room doing a reading
Coralie: will start off in the sun room hiding
Adrien: will start off in the office looking for Indi
Beryl: will start off in the bathroom regretting all that food he ate
