Echo moves around on her homemade, wooden, crutches. She gets around on them around as much as anybody who can walk by themselves, although she’s often slower. She often holds her head high.
Echo stands a little over four feet tall. She is fairly skinny and weighs about 60 pounds.
She has straight, hair. It’s usually fairly long unless it’s been cut recently. She sometimes wears it down, and sometimes wears it pulled back, in a ponytail or braid.
She usually wears a simple shirt and pants. When it’s warm outside, she prefers to go barefoot
Personality:
Echo is fierce and courageous. She's also very compassionate and protective. She can be stubborn sometimes, especially with her need to be compassionate and protective. She is loyal, and would never turn her back on someone that she loves. She does not think that she’s better than anybody else, but she does believe that she’s worth something.
Echo does not mind it when other’s help her with some things, but there are also some things that she prefers to do it herself. Echo likes being helpful to others. She will not help other’s with task without their permission, unless they are unable to respond. She won't hesitate to stand up for somebody, and usually does not ask for this form of helping because she usually has to act fast. She might hesitate to stand up for herself, in non-dangerous cases where it’s easier to just put up with something, but she will not hesitate to stand up for herself when ableism seems to be involved.
Echo’s worst fear is someone who she loves being chosen for the Hunger Games. Her second worst fear is her being chosen for the Hunger Games.
History:
Echo was born with Spina Bifida, and was never able to walk on her own, but can wit the use of her crutches, which were built by her father. It has always bothered her that she has more difficulty getting around than most people, especially since she has never been able to run, but she has never let it keep her from getting around.
Echo was always adventurous. Growing up, she would often go on pretend adventure, sometimes by herself and sometimes with other children. Sometimes she did sometimes that she liked even better, which was going exploring. She sometimes ran into some danger, but always got out of it alright, and would try to protect her companions, when she was accompanied.
She once brought an injured, stray cat, home. Her family disapproved because it was another mouth to feed, but they told her that they would put up with it until the cat was better. When the cat was better, she tried to realize him but he just came back. Her family had been starting to get attached to him too, so they kept him and named her Stay.
She has always had a tendency to stand up for people being bullied, which often led to bullies targeting her even more than they already did. She was tough enough to handle verbal bullying, although it sometimes led to her feeling a little bad. She was able to handle physical bullying, but not very well.
As a child, whenever Echo got hurt in any way or even just felt bad, she would go to her big sister. She would go to her mother only if her sister was not available. She and her timid sister are very close, and often have to help each other.
Her best friend, since she was eight-years-old, is a boy named Micheal Towns. They often played and sometimes got into mischief together. He often needed help with things, which she was happy to give him whenever she could. He also always had her back when she needed him.
