Two days. It had only been two days since Bette had taken her last breath in the arena and Anatalia had been crowned victor. In the last forty-eight hours, Annie had been presented with her crown and the other resurrected released into the care of their mentors. They'd been groomed, clothed by their stylists, and patched up to the best abilities of the Capitolite medical teams. Some certainly looked better than others.
Peacekeepers lined them up in the Training Center dining hall, beginning with District One and working to District Twelve, with a single notable exception. They gave the tributes a cursory once over, not bothering much to retrieve any contraband.
Then, they marched out into the light of day - the first true light some of them have seen in almost ten days.
Drone cameras follow their progress to the train station. Eagle-eyed tributes will realize it's quite a bit longer than usual. One by one they are identified, processed, and boarded into the first car. The second car is a bar car. The third a dining car. After that, each car is themed by district and there is free passage between each one.
A few Peacekeepers board.
But for the first time since the tributes arrived at the Capitol, there is no one to explain the next step.
After Hellion Mo and Carter Laws board, there's a brief lull. Then, the curtains peel back to reveal thousands of Capitolites, screaming. Most of them chant a single name, but every so often Quest Hertz! and Eve Renner! and so on breaks through the cacophony.
It quiets only a little the moment Victor Anatalia Morrisen steps onto the train and faces the twenty-three fallen.
OOC: The 80th tributes, mentors, and stylists are welcome to RP in this thread or to make new train threads. All 24 are on board, and will be dropped off more or less in order, starting with District One. We are time flexible; don't feel rushed to start or finish threads. For most tributes (other than Wander) this will be the first opportunity to interact with Annie and possibly many of the other tributes. Glhf don't kill each other - or do. What happens next is entirely up to you.
