A hectic day lead him on many adventures, from the islanders to his childhood diner, Cove fought to keep his head up. He wanted to keep from getting bogged down with the amount of things that needed his attention, but as he walked through the doors and seeing his kids, he felt the need to hug each and every one of them in hopes that he was doing the right thing. He looked to his youngest daughter, her eyes so full of light and picked her up. The night ended with them in bed. His wife by his side as he wrapped an arm around her.
"Honey, do you think I"m doing the right thing? I know very little on how to run a district, but I've got the desire. I know not how to compete with the two candidates that I have been against and they take me for a joke." He leaned into her, bracing his forehead against hers. She shook her head. Her gentle voice only tried to sway him that he was doing everyhting he needed to and he was fighting for them to have a better life.
"I want my kids to grow up strong and unafraid to look to the past. I want my children raised to not only fight, but also to grow their minds to think that they don't need to stop just at their training. They will be the ones running this district in the future. It's my desire to make sure everyone else in this district has the motivation when they look at their kids. When they look at another citizen and know that they can do better."
Cove stood tall, awaiting a change that would only inevitably come when the ballots were tally'd and the results were shown. Only then would he feel this surge overwith.
