I am starting to see stars and moons
(it's an awful sham, but I follow suit)
This is how it ends, a courageous boom

Saturn found that boredom, more so than temptation, often led to destructive decisions.
It was after midnight – well, closer to two in the morning – when he got the idea. He could admit that he was watching the other boys in the training center to get a sense of their skill levels. Like the boy from four, aside from seeming a total douche, was formidable. The one from three seem as though he’d get his neck snapped simple enough. And then, the boy from ten – well, he was big, his body likely built from long days on the ranch tending to whatever sort of thing the lower districts kept themselves busy with. He’d stared a little too long at the boy when they’d gone across the training floor, though Saturn felt as though Exover was looking clear through him (he couldn’t have possibly been ignoring him, could he?).
He’d let the water flow from the elephant showerhead above, making sure to lather up his body and feel the heat across his body. He spent a good twenty minutes under the water thinking about all of them – the way their faces looked, their voices in the training center, the videos he’d seen of their reapings – before he came to the conclusion that he was going to get what he wanted, because he was seventeen and it had been a long day, and because he might have done it then before they had to make do in the arena with all its limitations (which he fully intended to try because – well, there were plenty ways to obtain infamy, the least of which was having sex in a cave).
But who would be the lucky one?
He settled on Exover because he liked the way his face always looked like he was about to ask a question. The sort of stupid, half-certain self that was easier to control, especially in the limited capacity of two bodies smashing together. Now – he was sure that they were discouraged from this sort of thing for any number of reasons (they were about to have to kill one another, they were too young, or that he was better served getting a full night’s sleep).
Except he was already in a towel in front of his mirror, posing for his requisite JANET giving his best smolder before doubt had any chance to settle. He flexed his chest and bicep with his head tilted just so before turning around to show off his back. He carefully placed his towel in an insincere show of modesty with a grin across his face. Forty-seven clicks later, after moving angles, swiping away the ones that didn’t have the perfect arch of his back, Saturn settled on three that were, as he believed, fucking hot.
“JANET – can you send these to the boy from ten?” Saturn grinned at the little box. He imagined each of their rooms must’ve been stocked with at least one, and it wouldn’t be long before the boy caught sight of his pics and was knocking at his door.
‘Yes. Photos may be sent to Exover. Would you like to include a message? I would recommend this –’
“Nah. I think that he’s going to get the message loud and clear,” Saturn turned to look at himself in the mirror and gave a nod. He sure as hell would.
‘Photos sent to – Exover Endor.’
“He better not leave me on read.” Saturn smirked. Or if he did, there were plenty of others to pass his photos along to, right?
