I am starting to see stars and moons
(it's an awful sham, but I follow suit)
This is how it ends, a courageous boom

He was bored. Exover had not responded to his messages (egg plant emoji, cloud emoji, water droplets emoji, six question marks; and then where you at??? texted three times) and was nowhere to be seen on the training center floor. He mulled his options across the floor but somehow he wasn’t interested in any of the talent that presented itself that morning. Maybe he was in a funk, maybe he just hadn’t gotten enough sleep. Whatever the reason, he would have to find a new way to keep himself entertained as he started to stretch across the mats.
The hand-to-hand station was across from the roping and trapping area, and he spied the serious faced girl from nine in the distance. His talk with Damaris had warmed him to the opportunity of getting to know some of the lower districts, even the girls. He gave a wave, to her, half expecting the cheery reception he supposed lower districters were taught to give one another. Except it appeared that she hadn’t seen him, as he didn’t see her wave in return. That was strange. Weren’t they taught that this was a thing they did for one another.
“Hey nine,” He said, stretching his legs across the mat in front of him and putting his head down to his toes. He waited a moment to hear her acknowledge him, letting the stretch burn. When he pulled his face up from the ground, he turned his head, and wondered if he needed to be louder. “Hey nine! Over here!” He gave another furious wave, throwing his whole arm into the motion. “Hey! Nine! Hello! Hello!” If he’d learned anything in his life, it’s that with enough persistence, he could wear someone down so that they would at least give him the time of day. He switched from his right arm to his left, and kept up the wave. “Heya!”
