"Yeah, I'm headed out to go for a run. I'll be back later, okay, Dad?" Of course, I wasn't telling him the truth. Why would I decide to do that when I could do something so much more fun instead? In recent times, I'd picked up some fun new skills. A friend of mine showed me how to do this, but not until after she'd done it on me. She stole something from me, and I didn't realize it until I saw her wearing the necklace that she'd taken from me on the very next day. I was angry with her for stealing from me, yes, but I also demanded to know how she did it.
Needless to say, I picked up the skills of a thief quite quickly. Before she knew it, I'd stolen my necklace back from me, and started taking things from others without their noticing. It wasn't that I needed to steal things from people. No, my family had plenty of money and possessions, so there was really no need for what I was doing. I just did it because I found it fun, and I felt accomplished when I did it.
Today, I wanted a bit of a challenge for myself, though. I'd already stolen from the rich, the poor and the middle class. I'd stolen from careers, businessmen and average citizens. I'd stolen from the young, the old and those that were somewhere in between. Out of the thirty-seven people I'd stolen things from, however, I'd only been caught once, and the old man let me off the hook because I was kind enough to give back what I'd taken from him when he caught me.
The challenge I decided to give myself was to actually verbally interact with the person I was going to steal from, and take whatever it was that I wanted while they were too focused on the conversation to notice what I was doing. What I decided to do in addition to that was something that would increase the challenge even further. I'd try to steal from a career. That way, if they did catch me, I might have someone I could fight, too, if I got lucky enough to find someone that was up for doing that.
Finding my target was the fun part. Many people passed in and out of the career academy that day, and I greeted each one of them. Some gave me dirty looks, others cheerily responded with their own 'hello' and some even decided to just ignore me completely. When I finally found the right target, however, I knew it before I'd even spoken to her. She looked wealthy, and likely the same age as myself, give or take a year. Her blonde hair framed her face nicely, and I smiled when I saw her.
She was quite pretty, and I liked her sense of style. Maybe she had some money, jewelry or something else I could snag off of her. I waved to her as I saw her, and greeted her kindly.
"Hey, you're quite the pretty one, aren't you?" I said. I suppose that the greeting was a bit flirtatious, but I was just like that sometimes when I saw a pretty girl. It's so hard not to say something when what stands before you is so strikingly beautiful. I gave her a bright smile, showing her that I meant no harm- although that might not have been entirely true.

Who's to blame when it's everyone's fault?
And we celebrate our way through dangerous times
Strange days are comin' for us"
