caleb genesis ♡
Caleb was never scared of the reaping. What are they gonna do, kill her? Life goes on, days go on, she's never been affected by it; she lived a day to day life in the way that she was a up start working woman. There would be a day where she'd stand in the adult crowd with a a husband or wife, and she'd wait until the day was over so she could go out and work again -- get successful again. That's the way to do it, not like Lyons and the old money, but by the new genesis.
The Caleb Genesis!
She made her way to the justice building perfectly fine, no peacekeepers grabbing at her arms or anything, not like the ghost stories go. Packet of labels in her pockets, binder to the hip and she liked the way it bit into her bone a little. Just a little, nothing weird -- it was the reminder that she was working, advertising. A new business practice, I'm afraid, Caleb felt just a little dirty monetizing it, but it's the new age all things considering. That stale, bitter fear.
It grew old in the days, nobody wanted to be reaped but as generation three, some panem children just grew regardless. Through the cracks, so jaded of that fear, like plants through concrete she'd find a way to thrive and continue on. Life can't pause over the unlucky ones, though she wish it could for them, for the ones reaped. For Lysander, from district five, the pride beacon of district five's worth or whatever.
She was a dead girl - they both knew it - and it was apparent walking into the room, binder in her clutch, "hey," a soft smile. Caleb knew better than to be soft on this woman; to make it aware they both knew what was going to happen to her. The Genesis family would raise what they could to contribute back to this girl's family, but no money in the world could save a girl like Lysander. Dead girl walking and all that, but Caleb won't grieve her until the day hits, and she won't pity her until she's finally dead.
And if she lives? That's great for business!
"I'm from The Genesis Recess - family owned, we raise and sell Dobermans," she places the binder in the room, flipping open through the stock. Badges, pins, stickers, a choker, "I'm spearheading a project to raise money for the families affected by the reaping, and-" unfortunately, that's you, Lysander. "If there's any thing you want to take from here to the capitol, it's all our honor."
Straight to business, support the lives of district five.
"Also, I can handle any last" a slight hesitation, "wills, that you may have."
Caleb worked for that certification, too.
