Bored in the Training Center // [Zenia/Pisces/Helle]

Hellemine Cauchemar was really, reallyyyyy bored of being in the Capitol. She'd expected it to be all glitzy and glamour, but mostly it was being told what to do and when, with very little why. She was tired. And hungry. And moody. The last was almost certainly a direct result of the Training Scores being announced. It was almost cruel to have them aired before the interviews. How was she supposed to atone for the mock interview incident if all she had to show for her first attempt was a 2?

She gripped her tray a little harder, scanning the dining hall tables. She'd been looking for JJ or Terra or The Dude, but instead her gaze tripped over Pisces Gem.

A boy whose name she now knew, thanks to said Training Scores.

Helle walked right up to him and Zenia Siella - wow, maybe there was something to this scoring system - and tucked her chin in greeting. "Hey, score buddy. You wanna share some pity pie?" She looked signicantly at a slice of apple pie on her tray. "There's a buttload of other delicious looking desserts if you want something else. My treat." She smiled. "Us 2's gotta stick together. Oh, and I can totally get you a dessert too, Zenia, my bad. Not trying to be exclusive or anything. I'm cool."

z e n i a Sitting next to Pisces right before the interview was like torture. Zenia was a wreck of nervousness, her leg bouncing out of control as she tries to quell her shaking stomach with some grapes to no avail. It was better than being alone, though. Pisces reminded her that at least one person didn't want to kill her, yet at least. She had gotten her score just a little bit ago, and frankly she was disappointed. Wanting to break out of her appearance, she wanted to prove that she was worth something, but she knew that the gamemakers refused to see anything past her misconfigured hand. If the fire couldn't distract them from her weakness, what could? She would have to find something, something that would keep her alive just a little bit longer. She had volunteered to be here, running away from those who controlled her life; she refused to let any more control her. Jade had gotten a nine, of course. It was almost effortless for her to be perfect. From one Zenia had managed to gather, the girl had lived the life perfectly suited to the games. A career from one. Jade never had her right hand broken by her parents in a fit of rage only for it to not grow back properly, she never had to grasp for scraps, knowing that there was no life for her in a district where everyone works with their hands, and she never felt like she had to volunteer for death to escape a life of misery. Her jaw tight as she tries to chew on the capitol's delicacies, Zenia almost jumps when another girl approaches them. Zenia hadn't remembered most people's names, but she knew this girl's. It was where they were about to head, no doubt. Hell. Trying to ease into the girl's much calmer demeanor, Zenia forced a smile onto her face. If she wanted to win over Caeser Flickerman, she needed to be more than just a messed up hand. "You know I'd love to join the club, but I guess I'm just too cool for school with my four over here." Pushing her plate of grapes away from her with her good hand, she makes a disgusted face, "I don't think I could fit anything with more sugar than a tesserae baguette into my mouth without throwing up anyways."

My training session wasn't something I was proud of, and clearly the Gamemakers hadn't been too proud of me for it either, as they had decided to give me a score of two. I suppose that was rightfully so, though: it was a little bit disturbing, and not just for them. I wasn't the most comfortable with the situation, either. I was just trying to show off something that I could do and it's what I came up with.

Zenia and I were sitting with one another in the dining hall when another tribute had approached us. She wasn't exactly invited by either of us, but I wasn't going to tell her to leave. I recognized the girl as the girl from District Seven, Hellemine Cauchemar. She'd scored a two like I had. It made me wonder what she did in her Private Training Session.

When she spoke, she asked if I wanted some 'pity pie'. Honestly, after my training session, desserts were something I wasn't too interested in. It's not like they had the same fate as the spoon I'd hidden, but I still had a weird connotation with them in my mind now. Especially when Helle said that there was a buttload of other desserts. A buttload. Ha.

"I think I'm alright in the way of desserts," I told her. "Thanks, though."

Helle said something about 'us twos' having to stick together. I gave her a weak smile. Then Zenia spoke up.

"You know I'd love to join the club, but I guess I'm just too cool for school with my four over here." Zenia said this and I raised an eyebrow at her. I knew she was joking, but I figured I'd give her that little bit of trouble for it. I wasn't going to say anything that would make her mad at me, but a raised eyebrow as a bit of sass should be fine.

The girl from Seven then proceeded to offer Zenia a dessert as well, who then ended up declining the offer.

"Helle, was it?" I said to our guest. "I'm Pisces," I continued. "Feel free to take a seat."
