Anthem - Day Five

By evening, the storm has faded from a constant roaring presence to a dying, sputtering thing; it fades and strengthens repeatedly, until at last you think it’s done, only for one last burst near sunset to drench anyone foolish enough to venture from cover. All the while the blood-red waters slowly drain from the Arena, leaving behind a sodden mess.

As per usual, the anthem plays predictably in the night sky. If you have heard the good word, you know that tributes are coming back to life--if only sometimes. You may not know exactly how the process works, but you do see a face flashing against the lingering clouds tonight:

Congratulations on surviving Day Four!

The Gamemakers are up to their usual tricks today. As the sun rises, tributes near the Cloud Spire will find that the spire has disappeared from view. How could such a large structure vanish? Intrepid explorers will find it still there if they choose to climb it, but the structure offers no answers. Across the Arena, the winds of the Petal Storm have swept up more dangerous fare than their usual, buffeting tributes with prickly thorns. Another interesting day!
