Trainers Tournament '87 | Round 3: Bradford v Levisay

Lights, camera, action! The people of Panem were no strangers to watching combat on their television screens, but this year they'd have the pleasure of watching Capitolites battle it out for glory and status - just without the death!

The Plinth Munitions Annual Trainers Tournament, proudly brought to your screens by Fenwick Broadcasting Inc. had kicked off with an excellent first day and record viewership numbers. Round One's hand to hand combat tested the trainer's fast-thinking and ability to hit their opponent where it counted. Many broken bones had now healed to mere fractures thanks to the best medical support Panem could offer - but those that had sustained such injuries were almost immediately knocked down to the loser's bracket.

Round Two saw an entertaining display of thrown knives, axes and javelins, testing the aim of our trainers. Many viewers noted not one trainer opted to specialise in the increasingly outdated bow and arrow. A hint to Gamemakers of the future? Perhaps so!

Those with mighty aim conquered Round Two, with the fate of future tributes and careers alike now in the hands of Round Three. The deadliest of weapons had been chosen for the finale, ones that had turned mere tributes into Victors and showed one's true talents in combat. Who would come out victorious, and who would be - heaven forbid - sent off to District Four of all places? Panem ought to tune in and find out.

Welcome to Round Three, trainers! In this round, we'll be using blade weapons only! These rolls are: knife, sword, glaive. It's up to you which weapon your character wishes to specialise in, but you must stick to that weapon for the entire round.

The rules are simple: Everyone starts at 30 HP. First come, first post. You have 48 hours to complete your fights - if no trainer has reached 30HP, we will determine the winner based on current damages and activity. Blitz posts are encouraged for the sake of speed. Instas = 10 dmg.

The last fight was a blur, but except for a knife in the stomach, she quickly showed off her expertise in ranged weapons. Zara had never found a whole ton of joy in causing another person to bleed. However, here, it was necesary.

She had heard that Jemma had not made it past the next round, and she wished should could have seen the whole thing, She had been a little too preoccupied over the night to come back and view anything. An infirmary visit was never short, even with some of the best medicine in the world.

She felt good, about this, ready to continue and at least finish the tournament. Of course, she wouldnt get what she wanted, but that was okay. She had made it this far obviously, and she didnt back down. Even when she was in the worst amounts of pain, she pushed through, and took her loss with grace.

But now there were blades, sharp ones. Ones that could probably slice off body parts. Zara had trained in them all, and she could say that she is comfortable with them. However, one of them stood in her mind. Her hand reached for the glaive, and extension of her body type of weapon that could still hold its own. She stretched a little before she met eyes with her opponent. They were battling for something, but she had a feeling that it didnt matter did it? They were here for entertainment purposes first and foremost.

"Lets make this fight one they wont forget." Zara said with a smile before she got serious. She closed in some space and took a swing with her glaive at the one before her.

She was never afraid was she?
