MAUVE
Mauve slipped through the synthetic forrest with ease, her steps light. She had grown tired of watching Bellamy scribble notes into a notepad, making small comments every now and then, or frowning at something that didn't quite seem right. It seemed that out of all of the tributes here, Bellamy was the one she found that she didn't want to see dead as much as any of the others. She still wanted to see him dead, maybe her hands twisted around his neck, his eyes bulging as he fought for a breath that would never come.
But for now, she was enjoying his company somewhat.
The Capitol had designed some sort of playground, an obstacle course that followed a path lined by trees. Mauve stepped onto one of the stumps, examining the course before her. She wasn't one to run around jumping and ducking and sliding around wooden poles. It had never been something that had drawn her attention back home in a world full of growing technology. Where the kids from the lower districts sought enjoyment from dirt and outdoors activities, Mauve and her sister, Beth, had played with drones and other virtual reality games that transported them too worlds that they could create.
Beth didn't do much playing these days though. It was hard to when you were dead.
Mauve jumps onto the next stump, her balance wavering slightly as she adjusted to the change of height. She takes a seat on the next one, one knee bent so that she could rest her arm on it, the other dangling casually over the edge. She much preferred virtual reality.
