the o'malley family

it all starts in the dark days in district eleven. the loyalists proudly fight against the rebels in order to maintain the status quo and show their dedication to the capital. amongst this crowd, in shining, pearl-white peacekeeper uniforms, you will find justice o'malley and equity o'malley, freshly wed and ready to spend their honeymoon fighting against the rebellion in the dark days.

years pass, and the treaty of treason is signed, declaring that one girl and one boy from each district will be chosen to fight to the death in an annual tournament called The Hunger Games. during the fifth hunger games, justice and equity's daughter, winger, name is pulled out of the clear fishbowl, decreeing her the female tribute from district eleven at the age of fifteen years old. she tragically dies, killed by victor terra montague, placing 19th.

while losing one of your own to the games would seem to turn you against the capitol, it did the exact opposite in the o'malley family. they cracked down on their loyalism and traditionalism, maintaining it for generations to come. 

in present day, the o'malley's are split into two branches. while both families relish in their loyalism to the capitol, they both approach traditionalism and conservatism in vastly different ways.

julia and marcellus o'malley believe in the teachings of the bible, to the point of extremism. they have made it their duty in life to produce as many children as possible to serve god, coming to a grand total of fifteen children. they live humbly on a farm, and they instill a large amount of traditional rules on their children. no swearing, dress conservatively, make sure to say your daily prayers, and every sunday is the lord's day (and you musn't forget that).

cliff and clementine o'malley still believe in conservatism, but their approach to life is a bit more modern. while they still believe in the lord's word, this branch of the family is a little more... ragged, to say the least. swearing, sunday night beers in front of the games, and of course, don't forget about the general intolerance towards anyone different, are no stranger to this family. you best believe they don't take any of that rebel nonsense kindly, and it's even rumoured that cliff o'malley has been training his sons on the side in case they are reaped.

so we've already got a large amount of o'malley's in the house which is awesome, so i wanted to open it up to more people and give a little more information in case it was wanted! basically the o'malleys explore the different aspects of conservatism and what its like to be a child who is raised to believe certain political beliefs. i would like to give everyone the opportunity to explore whatever side you want, so i've left a lot of the characters open-ended to give you the chance to write whatever you'd like!
