Hi Sofie!! Isn't this so much fun? Mrs. Krigel paired me with you because we both have so many pets, but I have been literally thinking about this letter all day. I'm so excited to get to know you over the next year, and who knows, maybe we'll get to meet at the end of this! 

About me, my name is Amarillo, but you can just call me Amy. I may only be 15, but I'm the youngest officiated muttation's trainer in my district which, you know, I'm pretty proud of. They should have sent some photos through the postal, the green one is my pocket mutt, Tarragon! Isn't she so pretty?! She is actually bred by Hades Lochlan, and of all my babies she's the biggest for sure. Tarra is all vegan, but she goes to town on some fruit salad! 

Actually, this is so funny, I named her after Terra Montague! With a plant-y twist, obviously, but she's always meant a lot to my brother & I. He's a deaf career just like she was, so a lot of the sign language we learned was passed from Terra herself. So, I know a few things about District 10, definitely not an expert but I'm trying, you know? I have so many questions, if you're interested.

Do you really have eight siblings? That's kind of nuts! I only have the one brother and even he gets on my nerves, I couldn't imagine having to deal with any more of him. Living on a ranch sounds like so much fun though, my mutts are too small to ride around so horses sound so majestic! I've never seen one in person, I don't think we really have horses in four? 

You should send a photo of your favorite! 

Ugh, also ignore my school i.d. please. My school made us all use our career trainer i.d.'s we use to get on campus, sorry if I'm like, staring into your soul. While we're here, do you think I'd look good with silver hair? I want to bleach again soon but I'm scared all my hair will fall out. Hmm, yeah, let me know what you think!

did you know your name sounds like a fruit? we have a few of them tamarillo trees in ten. nowere near my house, but there their.

thanks for sending me photos. i like your hair. i wish i could have pink hair, but its just brown. like mud. boring! we don't have hair die here in ten. but if we did i think i'd like red. maybe blue. silver might make you look like a mee-maw? who am i to judge tho. do what you want to do, that's how i liv my life.

your lizard is cool, good name. you must be good at history. my pa said once upon a time one of our ansesters knew terra and took her riding all the time at the ranch. i don't know if it's tru or not but if she liked horses she's good in my books. anyway she kind of looks like terra. bug eyes. cool!

we had some lizards here at the fair last summer. but pa said i culdnt have one because i've got too many mouths to feed. plus my brother cash has loads already, fair enough i guess. at the fair i entered a knife throwin contest and met this girl called lena from nine. anyway, i got talkin to her and acsidentily [ redacted ]!

yes i have eiyg eihgt 8 siblings. two sisters and the rest brothers. it gets pretty rowdy around here. i'm the second youngest so they are kind of mean but also are so annoying! ugh! i would send a pikture picture of the horses but we dont hav a camra. sorry!!!! i put a draw-ing instead someone did of me a few years back. emagin that, but a bit older.

anyway rite back soon please. i will try and find a camra. i might bug miss horowitz up the road. i hang out with her sometimes. she's old and lives alone with her animals. the dream!

Happy Ratmas!! Hoping this letter gets to you in time, this is the best time of year! I stapled a baggie of candy from a local shop here called the Tooth Fairy, I figured you would like it. My mom and I spent all of last week decorating the house and it was hard work, man! I wish my neighborhood could be this bright and sparkly all year round. 

Who can be mad at fairy lights?! 

Also, sorry for taking so long to respond - this semester has been crazy. I signed up for way too many electives and had to seriously buckle down, I don't think I could stomach the shame if I failed Home Ec of all classes. It's crazy that your family knew Terra! What do you mean she looks like a lizard though, she was so pretty?! After all those surgeries anyways. 

Having a big family sounds like a ton of fun too. Well, and chaotic, I only have one brother and that is more than enough for me, nevertheless six. And you are so pretty! So you guys don't have hair dye or cameras? Are your televisions in color? I've never been outside of District 4, so it's always nuts hearing how different things are outside of here. I'd love to visit someday and see the cows.

i thort you had died!!!! boy was i happy to get your letter. my brothers were teasin me saying you'd been eaten by a shark, watever a shark is? please xplane.

anyways - i got a foto from miss horowitz's place, turns out she does have a camra. a color one too! cost a month's chores money to get it printid, so you betta like it!

this is a pikchur from when her dog had puppies and i got to help with the litter. they were so rigglee and SO loud! yip yappin' all day! i asked dad if i could have one and he said no but then miss witz talked to him and he said yes!!! said it would teach me some responshabillatea and keep me outta trouble. so i named him trouble! LOL!!!

thank you for the candy! sweets don't last long in this house so i had to eat them all at once. now i feel woozy but it as worth it. sorry we don't have much shuga around these parts but i've included some honey from the beekeepers shop up the road. and no i didnt steel this one i promise!! that was one time and papa made me work a whole week in the shop sunrise to sunset to say i was sorree. 

yes 8 of us is a lot. it's a loud house, but when trouble grows up big and strong i'll train him to skare off my brothers. xsept cash, he's harmless. nope no dye, only the rich folx get that and the garment & saddle makers, mostlee people who make leather stuff. but we just ranch. boring! 

the big skreen by the jb is in colour, but we don't have one at home. we gotta take trips too town too see that one. papa says it'll rot our i's out if we watch too much. it's only a half-hour if ya canter, but papa doesn't let me race on the roads. i gotta trot at best, yawn!!!

anyway my hand is getting tyred. pls don't get eaten by a shark?
