crash //adalynn + marik blitz

I'm just minding my own business walking through the Capital going to some stores to see what I can find to maybe take back home. It's simple enough really. But as I'm opening the door someone comes crashing into me, and I nearly topple over. I wasn't expecting it, and I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do from here especially when she starts apologizing profusely. I dust myself off, and then I regroup and refocus, and for a moment, I don't know what to do. She's asking to pay for my stuff, to do whatever she can to help me, and while I appreciate it, I'm not sure if I can accept it.

"It's okay. It happens. I'm fine." I look around and just really take a breath to let myself focus on everything that's going on around me. "Really, it's okay. You don't have to buy anything. I'm good. I appreciate it though." I run my hand through my hair unsure if what to do or where to go from here. I just want to go and mind my own business, but now even that seems like it'll be too much to ask for. I teach down and pet Frostmoon and let him know that I'm okay. I'm not sure people are used to seeing him, but he's my friend, and I'll do anything to protect him.

I finally give in and just shake my head. I know it might not get me anywhere important right now, but if it gets her the eventually leave me alone, I'm fine with it. I sigh, and then I see she's looking at my pet, and I can tell she's completely caught off guard by it. Of course she would be, anyone would be, and yet this is my friend, and I'll protect him no matter what. It took a while to earn his trust, and now I will never let him down like many have done before.

"Okay, fine. We'll go shopping then." I sigh as I lead him into the store with me with our new acquaintance. I don't know what to really do or say from here, but when she asks me his name, I smile really big. "Yeah, that sounds like a plan. His name is Frostmoon, and he's one of my best friends. What would you like to know about him?" I give him a pet on the head to let him know it's okay. He knows the sign to run if I ever were to tell him, and right now, I hope to never have to give it.

I hate shopping, and this is just proving to me why I hate it. I'm a loner and love my alone time, but she's snatching it from me, and I'm not quite sure what to do about it. But I can't just run away. Not now, so I keep the smile on my face hoping she doesn't catch on. It's easy to smile when I think of Frostmoon though. So I focus on him and let everything else come what may. I guess the worst part of this is, I feel she talks too much. I've never liked people from the Capitol, and that's okay I guess. Just part of life and part of being a victor now. I'll keep learning to adapt one day.

"I make him happy." It's the truth, and I'm not afraid to say it. He's been there for me, and I've been there for him. I rescued him, and I'll always hold him close. He's my best friend when I'm away from my sister. He keeps me company. "I rescued him." I don't know his likes or dislikes, all I know is how he feels so content when he's with me. It took so long to gain his trust, and I'm glad that I did. "I rescued him from execution." I'm honest with her about it. "I am still learning about him, but it's a fun journey."
